Revealed: Modern Warfare 2’s secret nuke detonation multiplayer mode
Modern Warfare 2 has a number of hidden multi-player modes and clever hackers have revealed the most exciting of them on video. Read on for a glimpse at Modern Warfare’s Global Thermonuclear War mode…
Earlier in the week, a post on Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward’s official forums revealed that accessing the developer console in the game and entering a few codes can give you access to a number of hidden multiplayer modes.
Modern Warfare 2’s secret multiplayer modes include assassination and VIP escort games and lots of variations on capture the flag but the most exciting of all is the Global Thermonuclear War scenario which sees players rushing to capture and detonate a nuke that’s been dropped somewhere on the map.
The super-persistent hacker crew at ModernWarfail2 have managed to access the Global Thermonuclear War game in Modern Warfare 2 and have stuck a video up of one of their number playing it. If you’re desperate to throw some nukes around yourself, ModernWarfail2 has also posted instructions.
Great stuff but we wonder what game-hating MP Keith Vaz will make of this nuclear war based fun?
