Sony VAIO X dated for the UK
We first spied the Sony VAIO X ultra thin laptop back at IFA last month, but the skinny machine is gearing up to make the jump from Germany to the UK, with Sony announcing launch details for us blessed Brits. Read on for the info.
The 13.9mm thin Sony VAIO X isn’t as anorexic as the new Dell Adamo XPS, but at 655g, certainly is the world’s lightest laptop, and now it’s the UK’s too: the Sony VAIO X has been penciled in for a November release, just weeks after the launch of Windows 7.
The carbon fibre, 11.1-inch Sony VAIO X will pack Wi-Fi and 3G, 2GB of RAM and a minimum 128GB solid state drive, upgradeable to 256GB. Admittedly, we’re not expecting lightning performance from the Atom processor sewn in, but the Sony VAIO X is still set to be far more productive than your average netbook when it hits shelves. Stay tuned, as we’ll be back with pricing when we hear it.
Out November | £TBC | Sony
