Tony Hawk Ride skateboard peripheral to work with “many games”
Tony Hawk Ride developer, Robomodo, has revealed that its upcoming skateboard peripheral is not just going to be limited to Mr Hawk’s skating franchise. Tony Hawk Ride is merely the first step in a potential slew of games that will make use of the plastic board controller.
Robomodo president, Joshua Tsui, told VideoGamer “It’s really important to us that when people buy this package that they understand that, right now we’re concentrating on Tony Hawk Ride, but we want to make sure that people have a good return on their investment so there are many games that are planned for this peripheral,”
So, that’ll be snowboarding games, surfing games, wakeboarding games and… err… a Back To The Future Part II game. Let us know if you can think of any more.
“We look at it less as a peripheral, as more of a platform,” explained Tsui. In other words, don’t throw it away the first time you fall over and smash your head through the telly – there’ll be plenty of other avenues for serious head injury in due course.
