Virgin’s 100 hour talk time tariff
Hot on the trail of Tesco Mobile, Virgin Media’s just announced a new unlimited tariff for mobile users, promising all the data, texts and calls you could ever need. As always, there’s a fair usage policy, but we’ve done the maths and it’s an epic 6000 minutes. That’s 100 whole hours, each and every month.
At £65 Virgin Media’s unlimited mobile package isn’t as cheap as Tesco’s – and you need to be a Virgin TV, landline or broadband customer to nab it – but when you consider just what you’re getting with it, it still spells bargain like a Boxing Day clearance sale.
As well as your pick of a Nokia N86 cameraphone or swish Samsung Jet on the 18 month Virgin Media contract, you get 1GB of data month, 3000 texts, 3000 cross network minutes and 3000 Virgin to Virgin mobile calls. All added up, that’s 100 hours of talk time.
Obviously if you’re going to spend that long on the phone each month, you’d do well to invest in a Bluetooth headset, or just use the speakerphone, but if you’re looking for a way to natter with no fear of the bill bringing vengeance on your bank account, Virgin Media’s tariff is one of the best out there.
